Wireless Technician II

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wireless Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless communications, RF engineering, and system troubleshooting. This position requires a detailed-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and maintain wireless communication systems, including cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to wireless networks and equipment.
• Conduct site surveys to assess wireless coverage and signal quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and implement wireless solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Document technical specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireless communications and RF engineering.
• Strong understanding of wireless protocols, standards, and technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Satellite).
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and remote locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in wireless communications (e.g., CWNA, CCNA Wireless).
• Experience with network management systems and RF design tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Clearance Requirement:
This position requires an active Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain this clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and remote locations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Work Environment:
The position is primarily based at our client site located at Patrick AFB, FL. Some travel may be required to other project locations.
