Serco is seeking a highly experienced Senior IBM Maximo Developer to design, develop, integrate, and optimize IBM Maximo solutions supporting complex, asset-intensive organizations. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), Maximo Manage, Maximo Mobile, enterprise integrations, automation scripting, and related technologies.
You will work closely with clients, business analysts, developers, administrators, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. These solutions may support maintenance, facilities, fleet, aviation, infrastructure, inventory, and other mission-critical operations across federal and commercial environments.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on Maximo development experience with solution architecture, systems integration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and technical leadership capabilities. This position requires the ability to translate complex business and operational requirements into reliable technical solutions while guiding development standards and mentoring other team members.

In This Role, You Will:
- Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support IBM Maximo solutions that address enterprise asset management and operational requirements.
- Configure and enhance Maximo applications, screens, workflows, escalations, security groups, domains, database configurations, and business processes.
- Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using Jython/Python, JavaScript, SQL, XML, Java, and the Maximo Automation Scripting framework.
- Configure Maximo capabilities supporting asset management, work management, inventory, procurement, service requests, facilities, locations, and preventive maintenance.
- Develop, configure, extend, and deploy Maximo Mobile applications for technicians, inspectors, maintenance personnel, and other field users.
- Implement mobile capabilities that support offline or disconnected operations, barcode scanning, field data collection, inspections, and technician productivity.
- Design, build, test, and maintain integrations between Maximo and external enterprise systems using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, web services, enterprise services, publish channels, object structures, and Extract, Transform, and Load processes.
- Support integrations with financial systems, Enterprise Resource Planning platforms, Geographic Information Systems, Identity and Access Management solutions, Active Directory, facilities management systems, and other business applications.
- Lead or support large-scale data conversion and migration activities involving asset, location, inventory, work management, preventive maintenance, and related legacy data.
- Develop data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and quality-control processes to support accurate data migration.
- Create and maintain operational reports, executive dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, and Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools reports.
- Develop reports supporting asset performance, maintenance compliance, financial tracking, operational visibility, contractor performance, and executive decision-making.
- Administer and support IBM Maximo Application Suite and Maximo Manage environments.
- Support Maximo deployments and operations involving Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Windows Server, and IBM WebSphere.
- Configure or support Secure Sockets Layer certificates, Domain Name System settings, Single Sign-On, Active Directory synchronization, and access-control solutions.
- Support installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, environment refreshes, release deployments, and system optimization.
- Assess and improve database performance, integration throughput, application response time, batch processing, and large-scale data imports.
- Assist with the design of highly available, resilient, and scalable Maximo environments.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, mobile, and infrastructure issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Serve as an IBM Maximo subject matter expert for technical teams, customers, program leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Translate business and operational requirements into technical designs, configuration specifications, integration approaches, and implementation plans.
- Establish and maintain development standards, configuration-management practices, source-control procedures, and technical documentation.
- Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, design sessions, and technical demonstrations.
- Mentor developers, administrators, analysts, and other technical team members.
- Support Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint execution, testing, release management, and continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- At least 7 years of hands-on experience developing, configuring, integrating, administering, or supporting IBM Maximo solutions.
- Experience implementing and supporting Maximo in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Advanced experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite, Maximo Manage, or recent versions of IBM Maximo Asset Management.
- Hands-on experience configuring Maximo applications, workflows, escalations, security groups, database configurations, domains, communication templates, and related platform components.
- Experience developing Maximo automation scripts using Jython/Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with the Maximo Integration Framework, including object structures, enterprise services, publish channels, endpoints, message tracking, and interface troubleshooting.
- Experience developing or consuming REST APIs, web services, XML-based interfaces, or other enterprise integration technologies.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM Db2.
- Experience with relational database design, query optimization, data analysis, and data modeling.
- Experience performing data migration, conversion, transformation, validation, or reconciliation activities.
- Experience with Git or another source-control platform and established software development lifecycle practices.
- Experience troubleshooting complex Maximo application, database, integration, or performance issues.
- Experience preparing technical designs, configuration documentation, test plans, deployment procedures, and operational support materials.
- Experience leading technical work, conducting reviews, and mentoring developers or other technical professionals.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the background investigation, suitability determination, system access, or security clearance required by the program, if applicable
