Approved Product List (APL) Test Lab Manager
Protiviti Government Services (“Protiviti” or “ProGov”), based in Alexandria, Virginia, is looking for a test lab manager to lead an approval program that will approve devices and configuration specifications for use within the USAccess infrastructure. This Approved Product List (APL) Test Lab Manager ensures the lab is resourced and has standard operating procedures to configure, test, and specify all approved devices that support endpoint services such as local printing, enrollment stations, and other stations that can provide PIV services. The Lab Manager ensures that all devices and associated configuration information are published on an approved list and provides direct guidance to agencies wishing to deliver PIV services via GSA’s USAccess Program.
Schedule
• 20–32 hours/week for the first 6 months
• ~20 hours/week ongoing thereafter
• 2 days/week onsite in Reston, VA; remaining hours are flexible and may evolve as the project progresses

Job Responsibilities
• Create and maintain an equipment integration lab that can test and qualify printers eligible for use, and maintain a list of approved products, peripherals, and supplies.
• Create an Approved Product List (APL) that assists agencies with the purchase of approved printers, peripherals, and supplies. Existing printer configurations shall be reviewed and, if qualified, placed on the APL.
• Develop and maintain configuration guides that specify the equipment, options, settings, and deployment considerations necessary for customer agencies to install and print cards locally.
• Develop and maintain Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and troubleshooting guides to assist agencies with setup or operating issues.
• Create an assistance center, as part of the overall service desk approach, that supports agency requests for assistance with the installation, configuration, and initial operation of local printers.
General Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
• Designing test protocols and validation plans
• Performing data analysis on test results
• Improving test processes through feedback loops
• Developing test plans and test cases, and executing planned tests
• Manual and automated testing approaches
• Regression testing and interoperability testing
• Root cause analysis and defect tracking
• SOP development and maintenance
• Workflow optimization
• Change management for new devices, firmware, configurations, and related updates
• Familiarity with FIPS 201 testing, ISO/IEC 17025, Logical Access Control Systems (LACS), and/or Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) is a plus
Position Requirements
• Must be a U.S. citizen; foreign nationals are not eligible
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or five additional years of experience working in an APL lab
Other Information
• Duty stations are in Reston, Virginia (three days per week), and Alexandria, Virginia (remainder of the workweek, with some remote flexibility upon approval.)
