Essential Job Functions:
Assist with the integration of aeronautical data into aircraft and mission planning systems for Performance-Based Navigation. Analyze the aeronautical data chain from source to final point of use. Perform aeronautical data validation.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline (to include math and science) plus 5 or more years of experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
Experience with Navy mission planning systems.
Experience in Systems & Software requirements analysis, design, and systems integration pertaining to medium to high complexity aircraft avionics hardware/software systems.
Familiar with software programming languages and software testing.
Understanding of aeronautical data formats such as DAFIF, ARINC 424, and aircraft binary formats.
Working knowledge of aircraft navigation and related systems.
Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience as a pilot, aircraft navigator, or air traffic control specialist.
Expertise in DO-200/201 processes and requirements.
TERPS training.
Familiar with SQL and Access VBA.
