Job Description
Overview Seeking an experienced Paralegal to support the Staff Judge Advocate and Force Paralegal at NMFDC. This role provides legal research, case management, administrative law support, FOIA/Privacy Act processing, military justice assistance, and investigative support under the supervision of a licensed government attorney.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft memos, briefs, and correspondence.
- Maintain electronic and physical legal records; update daily case tracker.
- Process FOIA/Privacy Act requests and prepare administrative separation packages.
- Support command-directed investigations and coordinate with NCIS and other agencies.
- Assist with NJP preparation, Article 31(b) rights advisement, and Mast documentation.
- Serve as Victim Witness Assistance Program (VWAP) Manager and provide required training.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years professional paralegal experience (military or federal preferred).
- Associate's or bachelor's in paralegal studies with a paralegal certificate is preferred.
- Knowledge of UCMJ, MCM, JAGMAN, and DoD administrative regulations, preferred.
- Experience handling CUI or classified materials, preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, TWMS, NSIPS, ETMS2, and OIX.

- Accurate, timely legal products and Navy‑formatted correspondence.
- Strict confidentiality and compliance with attorney‑client privilege.
- Organized, complete NJP/administrative board packages and case documentation.
