Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesman / Conduit Installation Specialist with a strong background in large-scale construction projects, electrical conduit installation, quality assurance, site inspections, and construction coordination. The base compensation range is based on a 50-hour work week and does not include applicable uplifts, differentials, or additional compensation.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant construction experience, strong knowledge of electrical installation standards, and the ability to independently manage work activities while coordinating with other trades and meeting established project milestones.

Experience supporting Department of State (DOS) / Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) projects is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, design narratives, and calculations.
- Ability to develop and follow work plans and independently manage assigned work.
- Ability to meet project schedules and established milestones.
- Experience coordinating work with other construction trades.

Extensive experience with:

- Bending and cutting EMT conduit.
- Supporting and securing conduit systems.
- Grounding and bonding.
- Installing EMT conduit raceways.
- Installing conduit systems on large construction projects.
- Must be able to provide specific examples/projects where conduit installation work was performed.
- Experience conducting site inspections and preparing inspection reports.
- Ability to identify work that does not comply with contract requirements, applicable NEC standards, TIA standards, drawings, or specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior DOS/OBO site experience.
- Experience working on overseas construction projects.
- Electrical certifications or licenses.
- Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) Certification.
- High Threat Security Overseas Seminar (HTSOS) training.
- Experience managing construction contractor quality assurance and safety programs.
- Construction & Technical Experience

Candidates should be experienced in reading and following shop drawings and installing or leading the installation of:

- Conduit systems and raceways.
- Hardened carriers.
- Floor cores.
- Wall penetrations.
- Hanger and support systems.
- Grounding and bonding systems.
- Electrical infrastructure associated with large construction projects.
- Should be able to explain their approach to ensuring that installations are completed correctly, safely, and in accordance with contract requirements and applicable standards.
- Quality Assurance & Safety

The successful candidate should have experience performing quality assurance activities and ensuring that their own work and the work of their team meet project requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

- Inspecting completed and in-progress installations.
- Identifying deficiencies and non-compliant work.
- Documenting inspection findings.
- Implementing corrective actions.
- Monitoring quality and schedule compliance.
- Coordinating corrective work with contractors and other trades.
- Ensuring installations conform to approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, NEC/TIA standards, and applicable project requirements.
- Supporting or managing contractor quality assurance and safety programs, when applicable.
- Should be prepared to provide examples of corrective actions they have implemented to improve quality and/or maintain schedule compliance.
- Engineering & Submittal Review

Experience reviewing construction documentation is highly desirable, including:

- Shop drawings.
- Engineer submittals.
- Design drawings.
- Construction specifications.
- Design narratives.
- Engineering calculations.
- Should be able to identify discrepancies between approved documentation and field installation and communicate necessary corrections.
- Wiremold Experience
- Experience working with Wiremold 4000 and/or Wiremold 6000 systems is preferred.

Overseas / OCONUS Experience
- Previous experience working OCONUS (outside the continental United States) for sustained periods is preferred.
