About Our Client
Our client is a leading provider of threat detection, risk mitigation, and intelligence-driven security solutions that help organizations identify and mitigate threats before they materialize. Our advanced technology platform combines human and sensor-based reporting to deliver real-time situational awareness, predictive threat analytics, and actionable intelligence that protects critical infrastructure, government facilities, high-value assets, and personnel worldwide.
For more than a decade, our client has supported government and private-sector customers with proven solutions that strengthen security operations and enhance mission readiness. As demand for intelligence-driven security capabilities continues to grow, we are expanding our federal business and seeking an experienced Federal Account Executive to help lead the next phase of our growth.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to build and scale our client’s federal sales organization at a pivotal stage in the company's growth. We have established products, proven federal past performance, active customer engagements, and a growing pipeline. We are seeking a strategic sales leader who can translate that foundation into sustained revenue growth across the U.S. federal government.
The Federal Business Development Director will own business development and sales execution across key federal agencies, driving opportunities from initial engagement through contract award. This individual will play a critical role in shaping our federal go-to-market strategy, expanding agency relationships, and helping position our client as a trusted mission partner across the national security, law enforcement, intelligence, and critical infrastructure communities.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute account and territory strategies across priority federal agencies, including DoW, DHS, DOJ, DOE, the Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through targeted prospecting, relationship development, partner engagement, and strategic account planning.
- Own the full federal sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, capture planning, solution positioning, proposal support, negotiation, and contract close.
- Establish trusted relationships with agency leadership, program managers, contracting officials, mission stakeholders, systems integrators, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with our team’s subject matter experts in technology, intelligence, threat detection, and operations to develop compelling customer solutions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities through existing contract vehicles, strategic partnerships, and new procurement pathways, including GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and GSA schedules.
- Expand existing customer relationships through successful adoption, account growth, and cross-functional engagement.
- Help define and implement scalable sales processes, forecasting disciplines, pipeline management practices, and performance metrics.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback that informs product strategy, roadmap development, and future growth initiatives.
- Some travel will be required, likely less than 25% of your time.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise sales experience, including at least 5 years selling solutions into U.S. federal agencies.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales quotas in SaaS, security technology, intelligence solutions, analytics platforms, or related markets.
- Proven ability to operate independently and build territory plans, pipelines, and sales processes in a growth-stage environment.
- Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle, budgeting process, procurement strategies, and contract vehicles.
- Established network within federal defense, intelligence, homeland security, law enforcement, or critical infrastructure communities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex sales opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Criminal and financial background checks will be required as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or previously held U.S. security clearance.
- Experience working with systems integrators, prime contractors, and channel partners supporting federal agencies.
- Background selling threat detection, intelligence, security operations, physical security, or mission-support technologies.

- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
Why Join Our Team
- Build and shape a high-growth federal business with significant influence on company strategy.
- Sell mission-critical solutions that directly support national security and public safety objectives.
