Overview
Kiakahi, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed Drafter/CAD Operator III to join our growing team. The candidate will work within a cohesive engineering team systems and cabling infrastructure. This team supports mission-critical media operations and communications for our government customer that is responsible for providing IT services and support across multiple US Army Commands. Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

- Prepares complete sets of complex drawings or computer models, including multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Develops drawings and models with complex design features requiring advanced drafting and visualization skills.
- Applies mathematical formulas to determine land contours, weights, centers of gravity, load capacities, dimensions, and material quantities.
- Works from sketches, computer models, and verbal instructions provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
- Determines the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
- Selects required information from computer programs, internet resources, precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides.
- Independently resolves most technical and drafting-related problems encountered during assignments.
- Consults with supervisors or design originators for guidance on unusually difficult or complex issues.
- Produces accurate and detailed drafting deliverables in support of engineering, architectural, and design projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience / Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of performing Drafting/CAD Operations
- Must possess and maintain an IT-III level certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Occasional use of a company vehicle while on work site

- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
- Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
