Summary:
• Lead software development teams in architecting and delivering advanced data management and automated characterization solutions.
• Formulate strategies to extract meaningful value and insights from complex structured and unstructured datasets.
• Build and scale automated data ingestion pipelines using Java, Apache NiFi, and big data technologies including Spark and Hadoop MapReduce.
• Leverage statistical analysis and machine learning techniques with Python and Scala to characterize entities and behaviors.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 20+ years
• Total Compensation: $335k+ yearly (tentative)
Job Description:
• Serve as technical lead across multiple software engineering teams, guiding architecture, tech selection, and development processes.
• Devise methodologies to extract patterns and intelligence from structured and unstructured data using statistical methods and machine learning.
• Develop and optimize dataflows using Java, NiFi, Apache Spark, Pig, and Hadoop MapReduce.
• Design, characterize, and integrate diverse data ontologies and formats including XML, CSV, and JSON.
• Utilize query and data visualization tools to present mission-focused datasets and analytics clearly.
• Oversee quality control, establish testing standards, and mentor development teams throughout the full software lifecycle.
