About the Role

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Miami, Florida. This position is responsible for ensuring products are accurately packaged, documented, and shipped to customers in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have shipping and receiving experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify picking units against customer order pick lists to ensure order accuracy.
• Assemble boxes and package avionic control panels, spare parts, and documentation using appropriate spacers, fillers, and protective materials.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance with departmental requirements.
• Receive incoming shipments and accurately enter receipt information into the ERP system.
• Inspect incoming deliveries and verify receiving and purchasing documentation against purchase orders and quantities received.
• Notify end users of incoming deliveries and distribute packages as required.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts of finished goods in shipping locations.
• Maintain an organized shipping area, remove used packing materials, and monitor inventory of shipping supplies such as boxes, tape, and labels.
• Support departmental objectives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience using shipping carrier portals such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, and Aerospace TMS.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Experience using foam-in-bag packaging systems.
• Experience within the avionics or aerospace industry.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform medium-duty work, including exerting up to 70 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Visual acuity sufficient to inspect materials and review shipping documentation accurately.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
