Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to support aircraft maintenance activities for new helicopter completions, deliveries, STC development programs, aircraft training fleets, and demonstration aircraft. This role is responsible for performing advanced aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, modifications, and operational checks to ensure the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft systems and components.
The ideal candidate will have extensive helicopter maintenance experience and a strong background in aircraft mechanical systems, assembly, inspection, and repair.

Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to support aircraft maintenance activities for new helicopter completions, deliveries, STC development programs, aircraft training fleets, and demonstration aircraft. This role is responsible for performing advanced aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, modifications, and operational checks to ensure the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft systems and components.
The ideal candidate will have extensive helicopter maintenance experience and a strong background in aircraft mechanical systems, assembly, inspection, and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide aircraft maintenance support for new helicopter completions and customer deliveries.
- Perform detailed assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of aircraft parts and components.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics of aircraft systems and components to determine and implement corrective actions.
- Perform detailed inspections, maintenance, and refurbishment of aircraft structures and systems.
- Conduct operational and functional checks to verify proper system performance.
- Complete airframe calendar and hourly inspections.
- Perform hidden damage inspections of airframe structures and subassemblies.
- Execute aircraft disassembly and reassembly activities as required for transportation and movement.
- Assist with loading and unloading aircraft from trailers when necessary.
- Perform rotor track and balance procedures and vibration analysis.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and technical diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an aviation mechanic.
- Hands-on helicopter maintenance experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, repair procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to apply standard shop practices during aircraft fabrication, modification, and repair activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting helicopter completions, modifications, or special mission aircraft programs.
- Rotor track and balance experience.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) daily.
- Carry tools, equipment, and materials up to 30 lbs. (14 kg).
- Push and pull aircraft using ground handling equipment.
- Turn helicopter rotor systems manually.
- Stand, walk, squat, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the workday.
- Read screens, technical manuals, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Work safely in both office and production environments.
- Travel independently and on short notice as needed.
- Fly aboard aircraft when required to support operational activities.

- Respirators or masks as required by site regulations

Eligibility Requirements

- Individual authorized under an existing ITAR license
