Position Responsibilities:
- Establishing Inventory Controls & Quality Compliance: Document, and enforce inventory control parameters in strict alignment with operational quality management procedures to maintain operational continuity, mitigate risks, and ensure full compliance with internal and external audit standards.:
- Implement Systematic Approach: Design and implement stock organization, layout optimization, and bin-mapping to ease with inventory and warehouse operations.
- Inbound Receipt & Outbound Issue Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of materials by processing inbound receipts against purchase orders and authorizing outbound material issues within ELMS, ensuring all documentation perfectly aligns with shipping manifests and requisitions.
- Verification & Quality Control: Perform immediate physical inspections of inbound items to verify quantities and check for defects. Reconcile any physical variances against ELMS records before releasing items for storage.
- Logging & Systematic Data Entry: Maintain complete data integrity by ensuring all material stock movements, location changes, and bin assignments are logged instantly into ELMS.
- Tracking & Asset Management: Monitor the real-time movement of all high-value assets and materials across the facility. Use ELMS to manage localized space allocation, track transit status, and trace material chains of custody.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate, analyze, and distribute standard inventory reports. Monitor key operational metrics, audit trails, and cycle-count discrepancies to present actionable insights to upper management.
- Team Leadership & Safety: Supervise, schedule, and train warehouse workers and forklift operators. Enforce all facility safety guidelines and strict compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain an incident-free workspace.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse leadership role, with a strong, proven background in establishing and auditing inventory systems including the understanding of the US Navy supply system and practices.
- with Microsoft Suite to include direct, hands-on experience utilizing a Logistics Management System or functionally identical systems for the utilization of DD Forms 1149 and 1348s.
- Forklift operator certification is preferred; specialized certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work comfortably in varying warehouse temperatures.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to work 8-hour shift on site.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
