FIAR Compliant Consultant Senior

Blu Omega is seeking a FIAR Compliant Consultant Senior to support the Space Development Agency's Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation efforts for the Department of the Air Force. This role will help strengthen financial management, accountability, and audit readiness by establishing FIAR-compliant processes that address applicable financial statement assertions. The consultant will also support the Department's goal of achieving an unmodified audit opinion by FY2027.

Location: On-Site in El Segundo, CA - (LA Airforce Base)
Clearance / Suitability: Secret

Responsibilities

• Support activities related to equipment beginning-balance activities, asset valuation, reconciliation, and recording
• Conduct internal controls walkthroughs and testing of design and operating effectiveness
• Support audit readiness initiatives including responding to PBC requests and tracking open items
• Assist in developing and documenting procedures
• Monitor control and compliance activities
• Contribute to financial and operational reporting, including report development and data analysis
• Support training and knowledge transfer efforts
• Identify financial trends and anomalies
• Automate recurring processes such as reconciliations, status reporting, and evidence tracking
• Manage audit workpapers and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with client-provided (PBC) requests and audit sample selections

Required Qualifications

• Experience conducting internal controls walkthroughs and effectiveness testing
• Support for audit-readiness initiatives
• Managing audit workpapers and tracking open items
• Responding to PBC requests and audit sample coordination
• Asset record and asset-valuation analysis experience
• Report development and trend identification skills
• Experience automating financial or audit-support processes
• Familiarity with FIAR requirements and DoD or Air Force financial-management environments

Compensation
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
