Job Description:
The Vice President, Technical Solutions Group (TSG), is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and financial results of a technical services portfolio generating approximately $100 million in annual revenue. Reporting to the COO, the Vice President provides overall direction for the organization's technical delivery, customer engagement, business growth, operational excellence, and workforce development initiatives.
As the senior leader of TSG, the Vice President is accountable for profit and loss (P&L) performance, execution of strategic objectives, customer satisfaction, talent development, and the successful delivery of technical solutions across the portfolio. The role requires balancing near-term execution with long-term growth while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Business and Financial Leadership
The projected total cash compensation for this position is anticipated to be in the range of $225,000-275,000, provided agreed upon performance targets are achieved. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:
Business and Financial Leadership
- Own full P&L responsibility for a portfolio generating approximately $100 million in annual revenue.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, cash flow, and growth objectives, to include establishing annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial targets.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to position the organization for sustained growth.
- Lead strategic initiatives and drive execution across the portfolio.
- Identify opportunities for expansion into adjacent markets, technologies, and customer segments.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Support business development efforts, capture activities, and proposal strategies.
- Partner with growth and operations teams to increase revenue, expand market share, and strengthen customer satisfaction.
- Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic programs and critical customer engagements.
- Ensure successful delivery of technical solutions, programs, and services across the portfolio.
- Establish performance standards and operating rhythms that drive accountability and execution.
- Lead organizational transformation, process improvement, and efficiency initiatives.
- Manage organizational risk and ensure compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers and technical leaders across the organization.
- Build and sustain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer success.
- Drive succession planning, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster an inclusive environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, economics, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years managing large, complex government contracts in the defense and national security space.
- Minimum of 5+ years managing a portfolio of various defense and national security programs.
- Demonstrated success leading a complex technical services, engineering, technology, or professional services organization.
- Proven experience with full P&L accountability for a business unit, portfolio, or division of at least $50M in revenue.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and performance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and improve operational performance.
- Experience developing and executing growth strategies that drive revenue and profitability.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.

- Experience leading a technical solutions, systems engineering, digital transformation, big data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud, software development, or mission-support organization.
- Experience managing portfolios exceeding $100 million in annual revenue.
- Experience supporting government, defense, and/or intelligence customers.
- Experience with large-scale program management and delivery organizations.
- Advanced degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related field.
- Executive leadership experience at the Vice President, General Manager, Portfolio Executive, or equivalent level.
- Track record of developing senior leaders and building succession pipelines.
- Experience establishing performance-based cultures focused on accountability, customer outcomes, and growth.
- Interim or Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Interim or Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, economics, business, or a related field.
- Hybrid position based in Crystal City, Virginia, with in-person engagement as required.
- Travel to customer sites and meetings with teammates, partners, and other stakeholders is expected as needed to support the role.
