Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist (Temporary, 8–12 Months)
Job Location: Naples, Italy
Clearance Level: Active Top Secret
FLSA: Exempt
Job Description:
This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 8–12 months. This position will serve as an
experienced Cyber Security Specialist supporting the U.S. Navy's OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net)
in Naples, Italy, ensuring continuity of mission support for the duration of the assignment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Advanced administration experience with Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems, host based
firewalls and Antivirus/Anti-malware applications.
• Monitor security measures for all aspects of enterprise systems and networks.
• Provide and manage security configuration management (SecCM) of cyber security devices.
• Implement CS capabilities including network access control, endpoint detection, response and
reporting.
• Perform assured compliance assessments and ensure all hardware, software and appliances are
compliant with all government-mandated directives.
• Develop and execute Government-approved security policies, plans, and procedures.
• Perform defensive cyber operation duties such as ensuring workstation and server security
compliance.
• Perform investigative, forensic and remedial action on cybersecurity incidents.
• Articulately reporting defensive cyber operations statistics, compliance metrics, project status and
other relevant and requested information to senior management.
• Secure information event management and log management.
• Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for data at rest and data in transit.
• Manage security information and event management tools and services.
• Maintain a Department of the Navy security posture that is always inspection ready.
• Perform analysis on all security logs (IPS logs, FW logs, Network Traffic logs, etc.) to identify any
ongoing or past malicious activity or to identify false positives.
• Create reports and mitigation recommendations to remediate any security holes found in analysis.
• Displays strong interpersonal skills, experience, and effective written and oral communication.
Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science or related field, and 5+
years of hands-on Cybersecurity experience.
Certification Requirements:
• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• One of the following OS Certifications;
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA)
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
o Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
o Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
