Position Summary
The Pricing Manager oversees Odyssey's end-to-end pricing strategy, development, compliance, and execution for all Business Development (BD), Capture, Proposal, and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) activities. This role ensures pricing solutions are competitive, defensible, compliant with Government requirements, consistent with Odyssey's strategy, and aligned with internal financial structures including labor categories, indirect rate application, and cost-build methodology.
The Pricing Manager serves as a key integrator across Operations, Capture, BD, Contracts, Subcontracts, FP&A, and Program Control to deliver high-quality, timely pricing products that support successful proposal submissions and sustained growth.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Develop full pricing solutions for Prime and Subcontractor proposals, including rate development, market research analysis, salary band mapping, escalation assumptions, and indirect cost structuring.
- Create, refine, and maintain Pricing Workbooks, Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives, price breakout schedules, and CLIN structures consistent with Government Uniform Pricing Templates and internal templates.
- Interpret Government RFPs, compile pricing-specific questions, and coordinate clarifications with internal teams and Government customers.
- Prepare and deliver Pricing content for Gate Reviews #1-#3, including PWS/LOE changes, competitive comparisons, technical-to-pricing alignment, risk assessments, cost realism considerations, and Price-to-Win (PTW) analysis.
- Support continuous PTW refinement throughout the proposal lifecycle with internal and external data sources.
- Manage Green Team pricing review cadence, including updated meeting structures introduced by Laurie Freise to streamline GT1-GT3 sequencing.
- Ensure all pricing information requiring Executive Leadership Team (ELT) approval complies with Odyssey's Official Pricing Approval Policy.
- Develop and distribute Subcontractor Data Calls , including templates and instructions, and evaluate subcontractor proposals for rate consistency, compliance, and competitiveness.
- Lead subcontractor price analysis, workshare assessments, risk identification, negotiations, and integration of subcontractor data into Prime pricing volumes.
- Conduct ERI/BLS market data research, mapping, market salary analysis, indirect rate modeling, and pricing strategy development in partnership with Operations and BD teams.
- Identify key proposal narrative topics to highlight Odyssey strengths and competitor weaknesses within cost narratives.
- Incorporate Government-provided escalation guidance or independently source inflation assumptions when required.
- Partner with Proposal Managers to review templates, incorporate narrative requirements, align cost and technical volumes, and ensure compliance matrices are fully supported by pricing deliverables.
- Coordinate closely with Contracts, Operations, FP&A, and Program Control to maintain consistency across price, staffing, and technical assumptions.
- Support post-submittal actions including evaluation notices (ENs), interchange notices (INs), post-mortem reviews, archiving, and lessons learned documentation.
- Maintain and update Odyssey's Pricing Process documentation, ensuring integration of new methodologies, lessons learned, and enterprise improvements. Examples include transition-pricing guidelines discussed in internal chats.
- Lead implementation, training, and full integration of ProPricer software into Odyssey's pricing workflow.
- Standardize pricing formats, boilerplates, and reusable data libraries.

Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in Excel based cost models and Government pricing templates.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS cost principles, DCAA audit expectations, and cost realism/price reasonableness methodologies.
- Experience with market data tools (BLS, ERI) and mapping techniques.
- Familiarity with ProPricer and other pricing automation tools.
- Ability to translate technical solutions and staffing plans into defensible pricing positions.
- Strong PTW analysis skills and competitive assessment capabilities.
- Detail oriented with exceptional ability to validate assumptions, evidence, narratives, and underlying data.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to coordinate cross functional teams, lead pricing discussions, and present pricing strategies to senior leaders.
- Strong written communication in producing BOE narratives, pricing briefs, and internal documentation.
