Pay Rate: $59 - $64/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Surface and Air Surveillance & Command and Control (C2) Operations Subject Matter Expert to support training, analysis, and operational integration efforts. This role requires deep, hands-on operational knowledge in building and maintaining a recognized air and surface picture using multiple sensors, communications paths, and data links.

The ideal candidate brings operational and instructional experience from U.S. military, NATO, or similar service and non-military personnel that has taught or supported training at a recognized service schoolhouse or training center.
Surveillance Operations Background (Surface & Air)

Operational background may include one or more of the following environments:
Surface Surveillance

Harbor / Port / Inland Waterway Surveillance:
Typically associated with the U.S. Coast Guard

Open-Sea / Blue-Water Surveillance:
Typically associated with the U.S. Navy
Relevant Naval roles include Operations Specialists (OS) who man tactical displays, identify and track surface contacts, and maintain the recognized maritime picture aboard ships or ashore.

Equivalents may include Tactical Operations or similarly titled billets supporting surface and air picture development.
Air Surveillance
Air surveillance experience may include roles traditionally associated with the U.S. Air Force, but may also be performed by other services depending on mission and control center location. Relevant experience includes:
Detection, identification, and tracking of air objects
Maintenance of a Recognized Air Picture (RAP)
Air surveillance operations within command centers, or joint operations centers
Relevant Air Force duty backgrounds may include Command and Control, Air Surveillance, Weapons / Battle Management, or equivalent air defense and airspace management functions.
Command and Control (C2) Experience

Command and Control operations are conducted by all military services, depending on mission and location of the control center. Qualified candidates will have experience integrating:
Surface and air sensors
Voice and data communications
Tactical data links
Multi-domain inputs into a unified operational picture

Required Qualifications
Prior military service (Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or NATO)
Direct experience in surface and/or air surveillance operations
Experience identifying, tracking, and managing air and surface objects
Experience contributing to or maintaining a common operational picture
Demonstrated operational proficiency regardless of rank or title
Familiar with Automatic Independent Surveillance, marine radar products and maritime safety are needed
Familiar with ADS-B, radio direction finding, Electronic Support Measures, and Electronic Intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications
Instructor experience at a recognized military schoolhouse or training center
Background as a Navy Operations Specialist (OS), Coast Guard surveillance operator, Air Force C2 / air surveillance operator, Marine Corps Tactical Operations, or equivalent
Joint or multi-domain operational experience
Experience supporting training development, simulation, or operational analysis

Key Attributes
Strong situational awareness across air and maritime domains
Deep practical understanding of surveillance and C2 operations
Ability to translate real-world operational experience into training or program support
