Position Summary
Credence has an immediate need for an experienced and strategic Director of Cloud Managed Services to lead and expand our cloud service offerings. This leadership role will focus on overseeing the delivery, operations, and continuous improvement of managed cloud environments for our federal government clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, operational excellence, team leadership, and a deep commitment to security and compliance in highly regulated environments.
As the Director of Cloud Managed Services, you will collaborate closely with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure the efficient, secure, and scalable delivery of cloud services. You will guide cloud managed service strategy, drive innovation, and implement best practices that enhance mission success for our clients.

You will guide cloud managed service strategy, drive innovation, and implement best practices that enhance mission success for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the cloud managed services team responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of secure cloud environments.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize cloud service delivery, focusing on reliability, security, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD STIGs, NIST) and implement governance frameworks to maintain continuous compliance.
- Collaborate with business development and technical teams to support new contract pursuits and expansion of managed services offerings.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and implementation of best practices in cloud operations.
- Serve as a cloud subject matter expert, providing thought leadership on emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to support cloud managed service delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with Credence's core values and servant leadership philosophy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cloud operations or managed services teams.
- Demonstrated expertise with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards, including FedRAMP, DoD STIGs, and NIST.
- Experience managing cloud operations at scale in highly regulated environments, preferably with federal government clients.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements through automation, process optimization, and use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or equivalent.
- Experience with multi-cloud managed services and hybrid cloud environments.
- Background in business development or contract management supporting cloud services.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tooling.
