Technical/Professional - Technician

[About the Role] Client is actively seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to join our mission-driven team in Riviera Beach. As an integral part of our Underwater Mission Systems division, you will play a critical role in building, testing, and maintaining advanced electronic systems that support defense and national security. [Responsibilities] - Execute precision hand soldering on PCBs and cable connectors. - Assemble, crimp, and terminate wire harnesses based on engineering drawings and schematics. - Conduct detailed visual and electrical inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Interpret complex engineering documents, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials. - Troubleshoot, repair, and rework defective electronic assemblies, documenting corrective actions taken. - Maintain ESD-controlled and clean-room environments, following established safety protocols. - Support prototype builds, low-rate production, and on-site field service deployments. - Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes. - Travel for up to three weeks per assignment to customer or field sites to set up workstations, perform repairs, and provide technical support. - Complete cable assembly processing, including compound injection for water-tight barriers. [Required Skills and Experience] - Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military/industry technical training. - Minimum 3 years hands-on electronics assembly experience with advanced soldering and wire harness fabrication. - Proficiency with soldering irons, crimping tools, reflow ovens, wire stripping machines, and test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. - Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and BOMs. - Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities. - Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods. - Willingness and ability to travel domestically/internationally for up to 3 weeks per assignment. - Eligible for a Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret if required. [Preferred Skills] - J STD 001 and IPC 620 certification. - OSHA safety certification. - Experience with fiber optic terminations and link testing (LC, SC, MPO, OTDR). - Multimeter proficiency for advanced troubleshooting.
