Job Summary:
B&A is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and unify the company’s full marketing function. This strategic leadership role oversees all marketing operations, including corporate event strategy, digital marketing and brand management, social media and web presence, proposal and collateral content development, joint venture marketing support, and B&A’s industry awards and recognition programs. The Director of Marketing will directly manage a team of individuals, providing clear direction, setting quality standards, and driving cohesive execution across all channels.
The ideal candidate is a creative and results-driven marketing leader with a proven track record in government contracting or B2G marketing environments. They bring strong executive presence, the ability to translate business development goals into compelling marketing strategies, and hands-on expertise across digital marketing, brand stewardship, content development, and event management. This role requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to travel to support events, conferences, and joint venture engagements as needed.

· Directly manage, mentor, and develop the Marketing team, including setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
· Build and maintain a high-performing, collaborative marketing team aligned to B&A’s strategic business objectives.
· Allocate team resources effectively across concurrent priorities including events, digital marketing, proposals, and joint venture activities.
· Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy that supports B&A’s brand presence, business development pipeline, and client engagement goals.
· Serve as the brand steward for B&A, ensuring consistency of messaging, visual identity, and tone across all internal and external marketing and communications channels.
· Work closely with internal teams to define, refine, and communicate B&A’s brand message across all platforms and materials.
· Advise senior leadership and business development teams on marketing positioning, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market approaches.
· Analyze and report on marketing KPIs, ROI, and performance metrics, presenting insights and recommendations to leadership on a regular basis.
· Oversee B&A’s digital marketing strategy across web, email, social media, and paid channels, directing the team in day-to-day execution and optimization.
· Lead oversight of the corporate website including content updates, design improvements, and navigation enhancements via Sitecore and WordPress, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and a strong user experience.
· Drive SEO strategy to improve organic search rankings and leverage tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, and AdWords to track, analyze, and continuously improve digital performance.
· Utilize data-driven analysis to refine marketing campaigns and enhance digital engagement across all channels.
· Own B&A’s social media strategy across all platforms, directing content planning, publishing schedules, community management, and performance analytics.
· Oversee the use of social media management tools including Hootsuite to ensure consistent brand voice, audience engagement, and campaign execution.
· Ensure alignment of brand identity across all internal and external communications and social channels.
· Oversee the creation and quality of all marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, capability statements, slick sheets, digital assets, and presentations, directing the team in design and production.
· Ensure all marketing materials align with B&A’s branding standards and effectively translate business goals into visually compelling and on-brand design solutions.
· Develop compelling presentations for internal and external stakeholders, supporting business development, capture, and executive communications.
· Establish and maintain a library of approved marketing assets and templates to streamline collateral production across the team.
· Manage all marketing support for B&A’s business development efforts, including capability statements, slick sheets, and proposal graphics.
· Partner closely with Business Development, Capture, and Account teams to deliver compelling, compliant, and brand-consistent collateral in support of bid and proposal activities and capability features.
· Oversee development and refresh of marketing materials for joint venture (JV) partnerships, ensuring JV-specific branding and messaging requirements are met.
· Serve as B&A’s primary marketing point of contact for joint venture engagements, coordinating with JV partners on co-branded events, proposals, collateral, and communications.
· Ensure B&A’s brand equity and messaging are appropriately represented across all JV-related marketing activities.
· Oversee the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of all corporate events, including industry conferences, trade shows, and sponsored engagements.
· Develop and manage the annual corporate events calendar in alignment with business development priorities and company goals.
· Provide executive-level oversight on event budgets, vendor negotiations, on-site execution, and compliance with federal procurement ethics guidelines.
· Review and act on event KPIs including attendance, lead generation, and ROI to inform future event strategy.
· Lead B&A’s industry awards program, identifying and pursuing opportunities to recognize the company and its employees through external awards and industry recognition.
· Research, track, and manage award submission calendars, coordinating inputs from across the organization to develop compelling award nominations.
· Partner with HR and leadership to identify employee achievements suitable for industry or community recognition.
· Measure and report the impact of awards and recognition efforts on B&A’s brand visibility and employer value proposition.
· Partner with Business Development, Capture, HR, Operations, and executive leadership to align marketing activities with company-wide priorities.
· Develop and present regular marketing performance reports to senior leadership, including event ROI, digital engagement metrics, and pipeline contribution.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a Director-level or senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in the government contracting (GovCon) or B2G sector, with strong exposure to federal civilian, defense, or contracting environments.
- Proven track record leading marketing teams and driving brand development and digital marketing initiatives.
- Proven track record managing and developing a team of two or more direct reports.
- Experience managing event budgets exceeding $50,000 and overseeing multi-channel marketing programs.
- A strong portfolio showcasing digital and print marketing projects, event executions, and proposal/collateral deliverables is required.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
- Hands-on experience with web development and CMS platforms including WordPress and Sitecore.
- Proficiency with digital analytics and advertising tools including Google Analytics, GA4, and AdWords.
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite.
