HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Integration Engineer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Training Aircraft Division (AFLCMC/WNB) Supporting T7 Advanced Pilot Training (APT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply aircraft systems engineering, airworthiness and OSS&E standards/requirements to ensure weapon systems integration, safety, suitability and sustainment.
Translate user requirements into system requirements, architectures, interfaces, design objectives, and technical strategies to support system development, integration, fabrication, testing, fielding and sustainment.
Analyze aircraft system designs, technical proposals and modifications to assess feasibility, interoperability, performance, reliability, maintainability, cost, schedule, and risk. Recommend corrective actions or solutions.
Contribute systems engineering inputs for acquisition documents such as, SOOs, SOWs, DIDs, CDRLs, ITOs, RFPs, and source‐selection
Develop and review engineering studies, technical evaluations, acquisition strategies, Systems Engineering Plans, airworthiness certification packages, risk assessments, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, milestone documentation, executive briefings, and other program technical products.
Manage and support configuration, data, risk, system integrity, safety, and airworthiness activities, including certification, verification, testing, technical reviews, design baselines and contractor/OEM evaluations.
Provide system integration and technical guidance for system installation, maintenance, manufacturing, and sustainment while supporting program reviews, working groups, source selections, performance measurement, continuous process improvement, and identification of engineering gaps requiring corrective action
Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years’experience in the respective discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and twelve (12) years’ experience in the respective discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- Degree must be from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
