Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to serve as the backbone of the operational and administrative coordination supporting the Advanced Technology Manager. This position is primarily coordination-focused - you will coordinate vendor relations, team financial budgets, Agile scrums, and general team administration. Duties also include technical writing and requires exceptional organizational skills with an ability to represent the team's progress and deliverables through clear, compelling communication and media creation. This role sits at the center of how the team operates day to day, so prior experience working within an engineering organization is important. Other responsibilities include:

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Position Overview

- Speaking to vendors and coordinating software licensing and technical services support as needed
- Coordinating travel and expense reports for the team
- Coordinating weekly budget planning and forecasting for the team
- Conducting weekly scrum meetings - planning, and tracking tasking, unblocking where required
- Syncing regularly with the Advanced Technology Manager, providing recommendations and project status
- Maintaining standard operating procedures, slick sheets, and other lightweight technical documentation for the team
- Representing the teams' work through clear, compelling communication and storytelling, translating complex technical work for varied audiences
- As a plus, creating supporting content such as slick sheets, video demos, and animations to help showcase team initiatives
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience, and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Coordinating vendor relationships, procurement processes, or software/service licensing within an organization
- Travel and expense management processes
- Financial planning and forecasting, including tracking spending against budget
- Prior experience working within an engineering or technical organization
- Strong public speaking skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical work into digestible, compelling content
- Familiarity with drafting standard operating procedures or process documentation
- Strong organizational skills to proactively identify, record, track, and resolve administrative roadblocks for a team and manager
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Scrum/Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar)
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, or similar) for video editing, animation, and polished print/digital collateral
- Experience in a defense, aerospace, or other technical engineering organization
- Familiarity with internal collaboration and knowledge-sharing platforms (SharePoint, Confluence, or similar)
- Experience building internal engagement, culture, or recognition initiatives
