Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Drug-Free Workplace Policy
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing.
Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test. Employees in drug testing designated positions are subject to random drug testing. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). - Serves as a senior management analyst and advisor providing authoritative guidance to J6 Programs and Enterprise Support Activities (ESAs) on budget formulation, financial execution, and resource distribution
- Advises leadership on financial management tools, forecasting techniques, and program prioritization, leveraging analytical and data visualization skills to drive strategic decision-making.
- Prepares executive financial plans, presentations, and reports for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc requirements, utilizing dashboards and charting to articulate financial trends and opportunities
- Reviews, reconciles, and analyzes data across budget/execution systems, designing reporting tools, tracking program costs, and recommending improvements to financial data accuracy.
- Leads complex budget formulation activities, conducting independent assessments, preparing analytical products, budget estimates, special reports, and supporting documentation.
- Reviews enterprise resource management issues, monitors high-visibility execution actions, and assists in resolving complex funding requirements across J6 Programs and ESAs.
- Conducts financial execution reviews ensuring compliance with Financial Management Regulations (FMR), managing taskers and activities supporting J6 Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) functions.
- Manages multi-year program requirements, tracks Unfunded Requirements (UFRs), and evaluates automated financial systems to enhance financial visibility, functionality, and alignment with J6 goals.
