Junior Office Administrator
Position Overview Type: Full-Time
Location: Huntsville, AL
Travel: None expected
Clearance: Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship required
Summary/Objective
Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.
Essential Functions
• Professionally greets visitors following security protocol by signing in vendors, customers, and various visitors with a pleasant demeanor, issuing badges and notifying personnel of visitor arrivals
• Assists with planning, organizing, and executing monthly luncheons and other events from start to finish, to include event setup, breakdown and cleanup, maintaining a tidy and professional environment
• Coordinates with vendors, speakers, and internal teams to ensure smooth event operations
• Answers and routes incoming phone calls, delivers messages with polite professionalism
• Performs routine errands including shopping for office supplies, picking up food orders, and completing other authorized deliveries to support daily office operations
• Prepares and responds to professional correspondence, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely communication
• May conduct limited research
• Opens and routes incoming mail; prepares and classifies outgoing mail, including envelopes and packages
• Maintains professionalism and cleanliness of office daily by stocking refrigerator, wiping counters, tidying conference rooms and common areas, emptying trash, re-stocking office and bathroom supplies, etc.
• Uses Microsoft Office suite for email, budget tracking, and managing conference room calendars
• May assist in executing employee morale programs such as birthday gifting, corporate giveaways, and life event gifting
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Prior work experience in the hospitality industry
• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance (if necessary).
• Candidate must be 18 years or older and have access to reliable transportation to support the job duties listed above
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience working with government contracting organizations
• Prior experience organizing and executing events/luncheons in a professional setting
