Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a high-visibility national missile defense program focused on Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC). This engineer will contribute to system-of-systems performance analysis, integration and test activities, requirements development, and model-based systems engineering efforts supporting the defense of the United States and allied forces. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex defense systems, systems engineering processes, and missile defense architectures. This role is fully onsite in Colorado Springs, CO and requires an active Top Secret clearance on day one.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
- Conduct systems analysis across complex missile defense architectures and operational scenarios to evaluate and optimize mission effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain modeling and simulation tools used to assess system performance against current and emerging missile threats.
- Support requirements development, verification, traceability, and architecture activities utilizing MBSE tools and systems engineering methodologies.
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and document integration and test activities, evaluating results to ensure compliance with system requirements.
- Perform trade studies, feasibility analyses, operational assessments, and performance evaluations to support capability development and technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across integration, test, systems engineering, architecture, and performance analysis domains to solve complex missile defense challenges.
- Develop process improvements, automated solutions, and engineering tool enhancements to improve team productivity and program execution.
- Support Agile development efforts and participate in iterative engineering and capability development activities.
Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in systems engineering, including requirements, design, architecture, integration, or test activities.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting requirements verification and systems engineering processes.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and iterative product development using Agile methodologies.
- Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience with MBSE tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, or System Architect.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java, or similar modeling and simulation environments.
- Background in missile defense, C2BMC, BMDS, command and control systems, air defense, intercept systems, or space systems.
- Experience developing capability assessments, assessment plans, and assessment procedures.
- Experience with automated test development, scripting, and tool enhancement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Demonstrated experience conducting trade studies, operational analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, system performance analysis, or measures of effectiveness evaluations.
Compensation for the Network Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 depending on experience.
