Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator to join our team in Key West, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborates on and supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex database systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and robust security
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior and Mid-Level Administrators in advanced database technologies, architecture and design principles.
- Lead complex performance tuning initiatives, optimize database configurations for peak performance, and implement comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans to ensure business continuity and data resilience
- Collaborate with Application Developers, Architects, and Business Analysts to design and implement efficient data models, advanced database solutions, and data migration strategies
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of stringent database security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, for example Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Engineering.
- A bachelor's degree can be substituted for a High School Diploma and Four (4) years of additional relevant experience or an Associate's Degree and Two (2) years of additional relevant experience.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration with a proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining database systems.
- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification.
- Extensive experience in Linux and/or RedHat.
- Experience in cloud architecture with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with Geospatial Data (e.g. PostGIS, etc.)
- Experience working with automation frameworks (e.g. Ansible, Satellite, etc.)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and their applications. Experience with database automation and scripting, data integration, and ETL processes.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
