Job Description
Senior Vibroacoustic Engineer | Active Secret Required
Innovien is supporting the work on a major national defense initiative, and we're hiring a Senior Vibroacoustic Engineer to own the vibroacoustic environment end to end. The vehicle launches from an enclosed configuration, which makes vibroacoustics one of the hardest open technical problems on the program. You won't be one more analyst on a bench. You'll be the person stakeholders and government customers come to when the vibroacoustic answer has to hold up.
What You'll Do:
Build and run vibroacoustic and shock analysis models in WAVE6 for flight hardware
Analytically validate models and check results so the team and the customer can trust them
Present and defend vibroacoustic findings to internal stakeholders and government customers
Support acoustic environment development for an enclosed launch configuration
Mentor junior engineers and guide technical direction as the team builds depth in this area
What You Bring:
10+ years of vibroacoustic and shock analysis on aerospace or defense programs
Proven depth building and running vibroacoustic analysis models in WAVE6 (equivalent depth in VA One, Comet Enflow, Actran, or AutoSEA2 considered with the ability to ramp on WAVE6 quickly)
Working experience in a major finite element solver for structural modal analysis: NX Nastran or MSC Nastran preferred, ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Simcenter 3D, or Femap also acceptable
MATLAB for pre and post processing
Track record presenting and defending analysis results to stakeholders and customers
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a related technical field
Active U.S. Secret clearance
Nice to Have:
Analysis of confined launch environments (canister, tube, or silo) and their acoustic environments
Experience across more than one vibroacoustic solver
LS-DYNA for supplementary dynamic event analysis
Peer review and mentorship of vibroacoustic analysis work
Missile defense or launch vehicle program background
Details:
Active U.S. Secret clearance required
Onsite 5 days per week, (9/80 schedule available)
W2 employment with Innovien Solutions
Long-term contract through 2030, with extension potential
