About the Role

As an Administrative Services Specialist, you will independently support the work of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas, Land Litigation Section, by providing a wide variety of administrative and technical assistance services. The role requires knowledge of administrative support processes, procedures, and practices combined with strong office skills and the ability to apply them independently.

Key Duties

  • Travel coordination and voucher preparation, in compliance with federal travel regulations.
  • Litigation expense requests generation, invoice verification, and receipt-of-goods/services confirmation.
  • Litigation support (non-legal), including organizing exhibits and case materials.
  • General file review, ensuring documentation is present, complete, and in required order based on provided checklists.
  • Closing and archiving of files.
  • Mail distribution for the assigned section/unit.
  • Equipment and supply request and inventory control on behalf of the assigned section/unit.
  • Assists with government vehicle fleet maintenance tasks — manages vehicle reservations, ensures vehicles receive routine maintenance, and orders annual inspection tags.
  • Performs other related office duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Ability to organize and complete reports and tasks in a timely manner.
  • Valid driver's license  required to operate a government-owned vehicle locally in support of fleet management duties.
  • Ability to possess or obtain the appropriate DOJ security clearance.
