As a Supervisory Personnel Psychologist at the GS-0180-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Leadership & Management: Serves as Deputy to the Director of the Defense Testing and Assessment Center (DTAC), fully sharing in the direction and management of the organization's work, and acting with the Director's authority as required.
- Program Execution: Executes and manages highly complex, large-scale programs and projects supporting the ASVAB Testing Program, Language Testing Program (DLPT and DLAB), and military compatibility assessment efforts across all military Services and DoD agencies.
- Psychometric Oversight: Serves as the principal analyst regarding the development of professionally sound and valid cognitive and non-cognitive tests, interpretive materials, and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) software.
- Personnel Management: Directs, coordinates, and oversees a diverse, senior-level technical and professional workforce of IT Specialists, Statisticians, Personnel Research Psychologists, and Technical Editors (GS-12 through GS-14), setting priorities and managing performance.
- Strategic Advisory: Chairs high-level working groups (e.g., Manpower Accession Policy Working Group) and provides technical recommendations to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense and military Services on accession policies and applicant personnel testing.

You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

- Psychometrics & Testing Theory: Demonstrated professional knowledge and applied research experience in personnel psychology, including extensive expertise in item response theory, classical test theory, and computerized adaptive testing.
- Test System Development: Extensive experience leading the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of large-scale computer-based testing systems for cognitive and non-cognitive assessments.
- Executive Leadership & Advisory: Proven leadership experience managing complex technical programs, supervising highly technical staff, and effectively communicating complex aptitude testing research to executive military leadership and scientific advisory committees.; OR
