PeopleSoft HCM Architect – Modernization & Cloud Transformation
Location: Arlington, VA – Onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking a senior PeopleSoft HCM Architect with strong experience in HCM architecture, modernization, cloud transformation, and enterprise HR technology. The architect will assess existing PeopleSoft environments, define modernization roadmaps, design future-state architectures, and lead cloud migration and transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate can bridge legacy PeopleSoft HCM platforms with modern cloud-based HR ecosystems and effectively engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture and modernization initiatives across PeopleSoft HCM, including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, and Compensation.
Assess PeopleSoft environments for technical debt, customizations, integrations, performance, and modernization opportunities.
Develop modernization and cloud migration roadmaps, including PeopleSoft upgrades, hybrid architectures, re-platforming, and Oracle Cloud HCM strategies.
Design cloud architectures leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including security, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Lead enterprise integrations using Integration Broker, REST/SOAP, APIs, OIC, and middleware platforms.
Define HCM data migration, governance, reporting, and analytics strategies.
Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and executive leadership to drive business process transformation and technology strategy.
Lead cross-functional technical teams and provide architecture governance, standards, and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of PeopleSoft HCM experience with 5+ years in architecture/technical leadership.
Proven experience with enterprise modernization, cloud transformation, and large-scale HCM initiatives.
Strong PeopleSoft expertise including PeopleTools, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Process Scheduler, Security, upgrades, and PUM.
Experience with OCI/cloud migration, Oracle Database, SQL, REST/SOAP, OIC, and enterprise integrations.
Strong understanding of HCM business processes, payroll environments, data migration, and enterprise architecture.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Preferred
Oracle Cloud HCM implementation experience.
OCI Architect or Oracle Cloud HCM certification.
TOGAF certification.
Federal or large-enterprise modernization experience.
Experience with AI-enabled HR technologies, workforce analytics, Agile, or DevSecOps.
