Come Join Our Team! APK Solutions is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to the intelligence community. We are currently looking for a Graphic Design Specialist to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will support mission and executive leadership for our government customer located in McLean, VA.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Design briefings and digital announcements.
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to the Front Office
Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand.
Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic and/or web design.
Work with writers and the Front Office to produce final design.
Amend designs after feedback.
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
Redesign internal website using WordPress.
Requirements:
The Graphic Designer shall demonstrate the following abilities:
Proven graphic designing experience
Strong ability to conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
Ability to design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals.
Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off.
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
Portfolio requested: Portfolio may include copies of up to four examples of illustrations or other graphics utilizing previously identified design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) that demonstrate required Graphic Design abilities.
Salary Range: $170,000-$230,000 based on experience level
