About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Medical Office Clerk to join a busy medical office in Yakima, WA.
Previous medical office or healthcare experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with patients in a medical or healthcare setting and be comfortable handling scheduling, phones, documentation, and general front-office responsibilities.
This is a non-clinical medical office position. Medical Assistant experience is not required, and this role does not involve hands-on patient care.

What You'll Do
Front Desk & Patient Reception
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the office.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls or messages appropriately.
- Assist patients with general administrative questions and needs.
- Maintain a professional and organized reception area.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, staff, and outside contacts.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Manage a busy appointment calendar.
- Confirm and reschedule appointments.
- Coordinate scheduling with patients and office staff.
- Handle multiple scheduling requests and administrative tasks throughout the day.
- Maintain accurate patient and appointment information in office systems.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support.
- Scan medical documents and paperwork into the appropriate systems.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical records.
- Process incoming paperwork and documentation.
- Ensure documents are accurately routed and filed.
- Handle confidential patient information appropriately.
- Receive and organize incoming packages and deliveries.
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
- Handle packages and materials that need to be transported to laboratories or other locations.
- Prepare outgoing materials and packages for shipment.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments and deliveries.
- Take materials/packages to the appropriate shipping location or coordinate pickup.
- Work with laboratory personnel and delivery services as needed.
- Manage daily package activity and ensure items are handled promptly and accurately.
- UPS comes to the office every day, so this position will regularly interact with delivery personnel and handle incoming and outgoing packages.
- Assist with day-to-day office organization and administrative needs.
- Monitor office supplies and help maintain an organized workplace.
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist other departments with clerical requests.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Previous medical office or healthcare experience is required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills are required.
- Previous experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, patient services, medical scheduling, or a similar medical office environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with patients and the public.
- Comfortable answering phones and managing frequent interruptions.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Experience scheduling medical appointments preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to learn scheduling and office systems quickly.
- Dependable and punctual with excellent attendance.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfortable handling packages, documents, and daily shipping/receiving responsibilities.
