GS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level that has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of this position such as measuring logistics processes through inventory analysis, surveillance, trends and standards; developing writing local policy/procedures; performing over the shoulder inspections; and performing duties with the responsibility of funds management functions including satellite stock fund management in support of unit mission. The specialized experience must include performing analysis on a wide range of technical functions by analyzing historical and current data and identifying deficiencies or potential problems during surveillances or staff assistance visits; developing, coordinating, and publishing local supplements and making recommendations to assist in the development of major command (MAJCOM) supplements to Air Force (AF) manuals and instructions; and developing and maintaining trend analysis for stock fund operations and formulating long and short- range projections.

Selective Service Act:

- Maintains a suspense system to ensure replies and corrective action are accomplished within 30 days.
- Reviews replies to ensure noted discrepancies are corrected.
- Notifies the LRS Commander and responsible officer's group and wing commanders, in writing, of actions taken.
- Ensures accountability of equipment assets purchased with the GPC and/or through Base Contracting.
- Attends base deployment concept briefings to identify organizations deploying equipment.
- Coordinates with Equipment Custodians to identify equipment requirements for deployments.
- Processes necessary transactions to return assets from deployed status.
- Ensures valid Unit Type Codes (UTC), Use Codes, and WRM codes are assigned.
- Monitors and reviews item accounting procedures carried out by these personnel.
- Provides assistance and additional training when required.
- Ensures they understand the methods for relief of accountability of property under their control.
- Identifies and analyzes needs for reduced/increased equipment authorizations and significant technical changes.
- Identifies and processes the disposition of property upon termination of need or authorization.
- Manages all equipment items with the exception of vehicles.
- Ensures custodians are aware of changes regarding the ERS.
- Schedules and reviews organizational equipment/SPRAMS accounts in conjunction with custodians' annual inventory.
- Develops, implements, and provides for administrative functions in the element.
- Receives, analyzes, researches, and prepares replies to messages, letters, and inquiries, assuring adequate and timely replies.
- Generates specialized reports pertaining to equipment management using Discoverer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment
- This position is advertised for the Jefferson Barracks and Whiteman AFB locations. The decision of where this position will be located will be determined at the time of selection.
- Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
- Position is subject to the provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
