Job Overview:

V2X GTS has a requirement for an Instructor /Operator (IO) in support of the Morocco Military in RAbat Morocco (Royal Moroccan Air Base). The Instructor & Operator (I/O) support, services and TADSS oversight required under W-TRS TDL 055 and reports directly to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager. The successful candidate must be a United States citizen, with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport. Standard work week is five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Flight Instruction & Tactical Training
  • Advanced Instruction: Deliver advanced AH-64D/E flight instruction following the U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM)
  • Core Systems: Train pilots in aircraft systems, instrument flight, and flight management system operation
  • Emergency Procedures: Teach emergency response protocols and critical flight safety procedures
  • Tactical Operations: Instruct students in mission scenarios, terrain flight, combat tactics, and gunnery
  • Environmental Modes: Provide day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) instruction
  • Flight Briefings: Conduct formal pre-flight briefs, in-flight instruction, and comprehensive post-flight debriefs

Student Evaluation & Performance Tracking
  • Multi-Environment Assessment: Mentor Moroccan student pilots across classroom, simulator, and in-flight environments
  • Progression Testing: Conduct end-of-stage check rides and formal evaluations under applicable ATMs
  • Aviation Regulations: Ensure compliance with Aircrew Training Manuals and FAA Order 7110.65 air traffic standards
  • Flight Plan Critique: Review and critique pilot flight planning for accuracy, providing corrective guidancep
  • Records Management: Document performance grades and feedback in Individual Aircrew Training Folders (IATF)
  • After Action Reviews: Facilitate formal After Action Reviews (AARs) to track pilot development

Simulator Operations & Technical Management
  • IO Support: Provide Instructor/Operator (IO) support, services, and oversight for all TADSS platformso
  • Scenario Development: Build simulator profiles featuring instrument flight, fault insertion, and weather control
  • Mission Configuration: Configure simulators with requested mission scenarios, weather, and active flight planning data
  • Pre-Flight Prep: Check in aircrews and provide required operational publications, forms, and checklists Event Monitoring: Monitor real-time simulator training events to answer questions and provide instant feedback

Curriculum Development & Domain Expertise
  • SME Advisory: Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aircrew training manuals, aviation procedures, and simulator employment
  • Courseware Design: Develop, update, and deliver tutorials, courseware, and Programs of Instruction (POIs) in a format that meets host country expectations
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend targeted updates to courses, SOPs, and training materials to improve efficiency
  • SOP Management: Author and maintain a flight simulator training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) governing qualifications
  • Standards Alignment: Determine training objectives, scope, and criteria to meet U.S. Army and host nation standards

Maintenance, Logistics & Facility Operations
  • TADSS Inspections: Conduct pre-flight/post-flight simulator inspections, operational readiness checks, and maintenance test flights
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Assist with maintenance assessments and troubleshoot TADSS weapon simulation equipment
  • Facility Infrastructure: Coordinate annual services for LCT HVAC and generator systems following OEM manuals
  • Asset Accountability: Safeguard government and company property, materials, and training facilities
  • Device Scheduling: Prepare simulator flight hour utilization and scheduling reports to maximize uptime

Program Administration & International Relations
  • Host Nation Liaison: Coordinate with host nation and FMS representatives to deconflict training and maintenance schedules
  • VIP Engagement: Support host nation briefings, capability demonstrations, and VIP visits
  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Communicate clearly with U.S., host nation, and contractor personnel
  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with contract standards, specifications, and Quality Control (QC) requirements
  • Customer Assistance: Deliver timely technical advice to a diverse, multi-national customer base
  • Program Support: Execute additional mission tasks as directed by the V2X Program Manager

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Prior AH‑64D/E Instructor Pilot (IP) experience at company level or higher.
  • Trained and certified aviation educator with demonstrated AH‑64D/E instructional experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manuals, aviation publications, and regulations.
  • Experience conducting simulator‑based training, evaluations, and check rides.
  • Proficiency in instrument flight, mission planning, emergency procedures, NVG operations, and tactical employment.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).


Required Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelors Degree
  • Graduate of the U.S. Army AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot and Methods of Instruction course.
  • 5+ years as an aviator required with last AH-64D/E flight within the last 12 months. (Currency or refresher training may be provided as needed).
  • AH-64Ev6 qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1000 hours as pilot in the AH-64D/E.
  • Minimum of 250 hours as Instructor Pilot in the AH-64D/E.
  • Fundamentally computer literate to include (but not limited to) using a personal computer, performing word processing, performing database input, access electronic publications, accessing the world wide web, briefing and debriefing software, and filling out electronic forms and grade sheets.
  • Ability to support periodic travel.
  • Must be familiar with the operation of a military flight training base.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift a maximum of 50 pounds.


Education & Experience:
  • Associate Degree+ 5 years Aviator experience
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree with AH-64 Instructor Pilot Instruction Course

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or working with host‑nation air forces.
  • Prior experience the CENTCOM AOR, or similar overseas operating environments.
  • Experience developing SOPs, courseware, and POIs for aviation training.
  • Familiarity with FAA Order 7110.65 and ATC procedures as applied to simulator training.
  • Prior TADSS, simulator maintenance oversight, or device acceptance/validation experience.


Material & Equipment Directly Used:
  • Government Furnished Equipment (GFP), Components-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Hand tools, soldering station, and specialized test equipment to include Digital Multimeter.
  • AH-64D Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT)


Working Environment:
  • 90% of the regular work environment is inside simulation facilities either onsite or a Point of Need (PoN) location wherever training is being conducted
  • 10% of the regular work is within an office environment
  • Must be able to meet requirements to obtain Work Permit and Residency Visa in Morocco
  • Must have a valid driver's license, able to obtain an International Driver's Permit
  • Applicant may be required to travel and will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures
  • Must possess a US Passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility


Physical Activities:
  • Physical activities include stooping, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Short periods of walking and standing for extended periods are likely
