Forward Deployed Lead

Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Forward Deployed Lead to join our team! The Forward Deployed Lead will work directly with project teams and oversee the overall delivery and performance over the SDLC for the project. The Project team may consist of data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts in the definition of new analytics capabilities able to provide our federal customers with the information they need to make proper decisions and enable their digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Project Management:
  • Serve as primary client-facing POC for program status, escalations, and strategic delivery decisions; build durable relationships at all levels
  • Thrive in an autonomous, empowering, and exciting environment
  • Champion delivery excellence - drive retrospectives, continuous improvement, and lessons-learned practices across the delivery team
  • Stakeholder Communication. Run customer working sessions, brief executive sponsors, and write clean status updates for senior stakeholders
  • Identify expansion opportunities within the account-surfacing new use cases, supporting renewal conversations, and ensuring successful deployments convert to long-term customer relationships
  • Mentor junior team members and serve as a culture carrier for disciplined, mission-focused delivery

Technical Tasks:
  • Own data flow, integration topology, identity model, and deployment architecture across the customer's infrastructure
  • Write production code yourself-backend services, data pipelines, APIs, integrations
  • Deploy from dev through UAT into production-including integration with customer data warehouses, ERP/CRM systems, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ensure the platform is configured, secured, and monitored to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, data residency, etc.)
  • Push field learnings into the core platform so the next deployment is faster

Requirements:
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance; ability to maintain clearance eligibility for the duration of the contract
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields required
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience leading project teams and providing technical expertise for customer solutions and delivery
  • Experience serving as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or technical design lead, with demonstrated ability to translate business and customer requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions
  • Experience leading teams that have deployed and operated applications using IaaS and PaaS on major cloud providers, such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Services
  • Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or C++
  • Experience working directly with business and technical stakeholders at mid-market or enterprise accounts-comfortable in both exec-level conversations and deep technical design sessions
  • Familiarity with enterprise data environments: cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift), REST/GraphQL APIs, and common ERP or CRM platforms
  • Comfort with modern deployment practices: CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud-native services, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate multi-functionally and improve scalability
  • Real passion for developing team-oriented solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Experience conveying highly technical concepts and information in written/verbal form to technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is essential. Strong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team-oriented individual, energetic, result & delivery oriented, with a keen interest on quality and the ability to meet deadlines

Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting defense, healthcare, or civilian federal agency security programs
  • Customer training experience preferred
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile Certification preferred
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship
