Operations Analyst

Duties

• Evaluates Joint Chiefs of Staff and Automated Message Handling communications across all medical treatment facilities to identify systemic operational impacts, critical medical trends, and deployment readiness.
• Leverages critical analysis of severe weather and environmental data to develop risk-mitigation strategies and operational continuity plans for vulnerable MTFs.
• Prepares and submits Critical Information Requirements, Serious Incident Reports, Operational Reports, Director's Update Briefs, and Defense Health Agency contract requests.
• Supports the preparation and execution of daily combined operations/intelligence briefings.
• Promotes the bridging of DHA, interagency operations centers, military groups, and subordinate commands into a fused situational awareness team in support of the Director's decision making cycle.
• Coordinates Defense Health Agency, military, interagency, and non-governmental partner efforts across exercises, operations, and humanitarian disaster relief missions.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

• This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• This position is subject to TOY or business travel requirements to various locations. This may require travel via privately owned vehicles, commercial transport platforms, and/or military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing operational data for organizational workflow improvements; AND preparing operational reports for leadership decision-making; AND coordinating operational activities with internal and external partners during routine or crisis situations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
