The Senior Systems Engineer will support the full lifecycle development, deployment, and sustainment of defensive cyber capabilities for a Space Force client. The role sits primarily on the development side of the lifecycle and will provide technical expertise for secure cyber capabilities and enabling platform services.

This compensation range is specific to Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,600 to $159,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Work you'll do
As a Senior Systems Engineer on our engineering team, you will be responsible for:
- Implement and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure across on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms
- Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, patching, and environment lifecycle activities
- Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support procedures
- Support complex system problem-solving for secure, software-defined multifunction mission systems

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 10+ years of experience
- Active Secret clearance
- 5+ years experience supporting the development, deployment, and sustainment of secure or mission-critical systems
- 5+ years experience implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud environments, including Azure
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Red Hat Linux, automated provisioning, patching, environment lifecycle management, and creation of technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting United States Space Force or United States Air Force programs
- Experience delivering development work for Department of Defense programs
