We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Identity Fraud Analytics Engineer to join our Deloitte Cyber Team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical solutions to detect, prevent, and investigate complex identity fraud schemes for our clients. You will bridge the gap between data science, software engineering, and cybersecurity, translating massive datasets into actionable intelligence to protect digital identities.

Work you'll do
As a Delivery Senior Consultant, Software Engineering Solutions on the Deloitte Cyber team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and optimizing machine learning models and heuristics to identify synthetic identities, account takeovers (ATO), credential stuffing, and other identity-based fraud vectors
- Engineering scalable data pipelines using big data technologies to process high-volume, real-time authentication logs, transaction data, and behavioral biometrics
- Partnering with client stakeholders to understand identity and access management (IAM) frameworks and fraud risk appetite; providing technical recommendations to strengthen identity verification (IDV) and authentication systems
- Conducting forensic analysis on emerging fraud trends and sophisticated attack patterns; translating findings into new features and rules for fraud detection engines
- Integrating proprietary and third-party fraud detection application programming interfaces (APIs), including identity graph and biometric validation tools, into enterprise architecture
- Establishing metrics and dashboards to monitor model performance, false-positive rates, and fraud capture rates

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar technical field
- Ability to work onsite up to 5 days a week.
- 2+ years of experience within the following:
- Data engineering, machine learning, or analytics with a focus on fraud detection, risk, or identity and access management
- Experience with Python, Structured Query Language, and at least one additional programming language such as Scala, Java, or C++
- Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with predictive modeling, anomaly detection, network or graph analysis, statistical evaluation, identity lifecycle management, Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and OAuth or Security Assertion Markup Language protocols
- Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary clearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Delivery Center Location & Travel Requirements:
- Hybrid Work Model: Operate under a hybrid system requiring residence within a commutable distance to one of the US Delivery Center locations (Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg) or Geo-Hub locations (Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, and Philadelphia)
- Co-location Expectation: Spend up to 30% of working time co-located at an assigned office for orchestrated opportunities, including projects, practice sessions, training, and Moments That Matter at a Deloitte Delivery Center location, Geo-Hub location, approved site, or project location
- Travel Requirement: Maximum of 10% overnight travel for client or project purposes
- Relocation Requirement: If relocation is necessary, complete the move within 12 weeks from the start date to reside within a commutable distance
Preferred:
- Experience working in consulting, professional services, or another client-facing environment
- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or TigerGraph
- Experience with fraud platforms such as Ping Identity, Forter, Socure, or LexisNexis
- Certified Fraud Examiner certification or cloud-based machine learning or data engineering certification
