Copperhead Technologies, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Safety and Occupational Health Professional to serve on a potential effort supporting the Composite Army National Guard Safety Development and Assessment Program (CASDAP).


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Applying knowledge involving the management, administration, or operation of a safety and occupational health program.

  • Performing administrative work concerned with safety and occupational health activities.

  • Supporting the implementation and evaluation of safety and occupational health related program functions.

  • Applying knowledge of explosives, safety laws, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods to advise policy.

  • Assessing safety programs for compliance with applicable laws and guidance.

  • Advising operations and logistics for continuous improvement in hazard reduction.

  • Applying experience and knowledge of the means of preventing or reducing mishaps.

  • Assisting in planning, developing, and coordinating presentation materials for meetings and conferences.

  • Assisting with the planning, preparation, and execution of meetings and conferences hosted by client.

  • Supporting Government teams working to maintain policy, procedure and technical standards.



This position is contingent on contract award.


Work Environment:


  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

  • Ability to work in remote and rural areas.




    Physical Demands:


    • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

    • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

    • Ability to drive a motor vehicle in environments including city, highway, and rural roads CONUS and OCONUS.

    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.



    Travel:


    • 21-49% / Regular Travel.

    Basic Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree.

    • Applied knowledge of safety and occupational health laws, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods.

    • Experience with workplace hazard recognition and control methods and metrics.

    • Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.

    • Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.

    • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.

    • Professional proficiency in English is required.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Copperhead Technologies will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.



    Preferred Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related field.

    • Formal Army safety or occupational health training.

    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.

    • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and familiarity with NFPA and SOHMS standards desired.
