Position Description
ThinkTek is seeking a Communications Support Specialist to support a Department of War client and an integrated air and missile defense program focused on protecting the U.S. homeland from aerial threats. The successful candidate will support executive-level communications, program coordination, meeting preparation, and engagement activities for the GDA Resonance team at HQ GDA.
This position requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills, along with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, staff directors, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $145,030 – $164,020. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data, and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.

Position Description

The successful candidate will support executive-level communications, program coordination, meeting preparation, and engagement activities for the GDA Resonance team at HQ GDA.

Responsibilities
- Support the GDA Resonance team in coordinating program operations, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare for and support internal program meetings, including agendas, presentations, meeting minutes, and action-item tracking.
- Coordinate logistics and communications for executive-level speaking engagements and events.
- Develop executive remarks, speeches, talking points, and other communications materials in collaboration with senior leadership, staff directors, and subject matter experts.
- Coordinate and refine remarks to ensure consistency with organizational messaging and leadership priorities.
- Maintain internal repositories of planned and delivered remarks, presentations, and related communications materials.
- Develop and maintain tools to collect background information from event organizers, participants, and contributors.
- Support coordination and confirmation of approved public speaking engagements with executive staff.
- Attend approved speaking engagements, as needed, to capture information and support future communications efforts.
- Draft, coordinate, and revise executive remarks and supporting materials based on stakeholder feedback.
- Track engagement requirements, action items, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Support consistent messaging and effective coordination across GDA staff and program stakeholders.
Required
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting government and/or defense organizations
- Demonstrated professional speechwriting experience, including developing speeches, executive remarks, talking points, or other senior-level communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for senior government and executive audiences.
- Experience coordinating meetings, events, senior-level engagements, or stakeholder communications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, staff, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and follow-through.
