Job Description
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer, in Fort Worth, TX.
Job Description:
- Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
- Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems
- Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software
- Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
- Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs
- Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
- Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies
Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in analog and digital circuit design
- Software programing experience with C programming language
- Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design
- Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL
- Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.
- At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field
Education:
- Bachelor's degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
- Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
