This Data Management Analyst role, based in Arlington, VA or Washington, D.C., supports the new construction of U.S. Navy ships within the DDG 51 Destroyer Program. You will join a highly skilled, detail-oriented team responsible for ensuring seamless data management across Shipbuilder and Services contract deliverables.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide technical data management support across all phases of Shipbuilder and Services Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), including correspondence handling.
  • Manage and heavily utilize a virtual workflow database to support all CDRL submissions.
  • Administer and update database user roles to ensure proper workflows and access control.
  • Maintain real-time updates to CDRL distribution lists within the Program Integrated Digital Environment (IDE).
  • Track, identify, and schedule CDRL submissions, changes, and related Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
  • Generate and interpret CDRL performance metrics and statistics for multiple contracts using the IDE.
  • Review Data Monitor CDRL comment due dates and assist with modifications to active contract requirements.
  • Support the team by updating instructions, drafting letters, and preparing official correspondence and documentation.
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement process improvements that enhance overall data quality and workflow effectiveness.
  • Analyze, query, and manipulate data in accordance with established business rules and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain records of original and corrected data, conducting cleanup actions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements to the program's Data Management Plan, helping strengthen overall data governance.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
    • Additional professional experience in Navy Platforms performing data management work will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS PowerApps, and document/file management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness during document and data review.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments, workflows, and meetings.
  • Comfortability collaborating in a virtual environment across multiple locations.
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset and strong ambition to learn and improve.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, processes, and responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.


Additional desired skills and experience:

  • An Active/Current DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Quality Assurance Experience.
  • Power BI and Power Automate.
  • CDRL experience.
