As a Cyber Software Engineer on the CSS team, you will play a key role in developing innovative cybersecurity solutions and tools to address complex cyber threats. You will collaborate with top-tier professionals to identify vulnerabilities, construct threat models, and engineer advanced tooling to automate processes and strengthen Lockheed Martin's security posture.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of cybersecurity solutions and tools to address complex cyber threats
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of code to uncover security vulnerabilities and map potential attack vectors
• Collaborate with Software Development teams to integrate static and dynamic testing capabilities into their software pipelines
• Designing, implementing, and integrating tools to automate the security assessments of software products
• Developing the execution of fuzz testing protocols on embedded systems to unearth latent weaknesses and fortify defenses against potential exploits
• Evaluating open-source packages to identify vulnerabilities and maliciously implanted software
• Provide guidance and expertise to team members on cybersecurity best practices and threat modeling techniques
• Act as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity and software development, providing guidance across Lines of Business
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full spectrum cyber solutions. Develops and automates secure systems to support cyber offensive, defense and full spectrum cyber operations.Conducts vulnerability research, reverse engineering, penetration testing (red/blue teams), develops and integrates low-level firmware, and/or develops specialized cyber software solutions and tools based on mission requirements. Applies system knowledge of subject matter (hardware, software, networks, cloud, etc.) to conduct research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities and develop new capabilities to exploit and/or mitigate vulnerabilities. *USE OF THIS CLASSIFICATION REQUIRES AUTHORIZATION FROM THE BUSINESS AREA CYBER DIRECTOR OR DELEGATE*
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience in software development and programing
• Network and System Administration skills
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker
• Adaptability and proficiency in collaborating across diverse teams, codebases, and programming languages
Desired Skills
• Embedded software development (C, C++, C#, Rust, etc)
• Front-end development experience (React, Javascript, etc); Containerization tool experience (Podman, k8s, etc); Scripting/CI experience (Gitlab, Jenkins, Python, bash, etc); Database Experience (SQL, Postgres, MicrosoftSQL, etc.)
• Experience in interacting with REST APIs and with using Linux OS
• Understanding of secure coding principles, cryptographic protocols, threat modeling techniques, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to learn rapidly and work independently
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00
