The Maintenance and Asset Specialist supports Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) operations by performing depot-level maintenance, configuration control, and logistics/asset management for systems returning from supported Air Force bases. This position ensures all equipment is properly repaired, validated against the Gold System baseline, and ready for redeployment, while maintaining accurate inventory and secure storage practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, technology, or a related field; an additional 4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
6+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following: depot-level maintenance, supply chain management, electronics maintenance, logistics/asset management, or field service support.
Demonstrated experience with configuration management, software/firmware upgrades, and system validation/testing.
Proficiency with inventory and asset management systems, warehousing practices, and materials handling (including RMA, DRMO, and return-to-stock processes).
Strong attention to detail and process discipline, with the ability to follow and improve standard operating procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly with engineering teams, Field Service Engineers, training staff, and program leadership regarding equipment status and issues.
Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment in a warehouse/depot environment, and to comply with all applicable safety and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of C-sUAS equipment returned from supported Air Force bases.
- Execute functional checks and validation procedures to ensure systems meet operational and performance standards prior to redeployment.
- Gold System Configuration Management
- Maintain and control the Gold System configuration baseline to ensure it is not altered, degraded, or compromised.
- Use the Gold System as the reference standard for testing and validation following maintenance and repairs.
- Apply approved software and hardware upgrades to systems based on the Gold System baseline prior to shipment back to the field.
- Ensure the Gold System is fully functional, documented, and available at all times for Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and the training team.
- Engineering and Technical Coordination
- Work closely with the engineering team to obtain, validate, and implement the latest software updates and configuration changes for outgoing equipment.
- Provide feedback to engineering on recurring issues, field returns, and opportunities for reliability or maintainability improvements.
- Logistics, Inventory, and Asset Management - G old System Logistics, Inventory, and Asset Management
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset records for all equipment associated with the Gold System, ensuring traceability and accountability from intake through repair and redeployment.
- Conduct routine inventory checks on Gold System and RMA equipment, reconcile discrepancies, and update the asset management system in a timely manner to reflect current status and location.
- Perform Maintenance and Repairs on C-sUAS equipment received from the field; including checking and validating RMA items and repaired systems prior to return to the field
- Warehousing and Materials Handling
- Manage warehousing functions, including storage, staging, and organization of C-sUAS equipment and associated components.
- Handle materials movement to and from logistics with proper designation (e.g., return to stock, RMA, DRMO, repair, scrap).
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Information and Status Management
- Maintain current status information on all equipment in the back shop/warehouse and be able to provide timely updates to program leadership, FSEs, and the training team.
- Generate and maintain records, logs, and reports related to maintenance actions, configuration changes, asset status, and shipments.
- Security and Compliance
- Ensure the maintenance area, warehouse, and storage containers are properly closed, secured, and compliant with applicable security and safety requirements at the end of each day.
- Follow established processes and standard operating procedures to promote cost efficiency, operational excellence, and compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
