About Us

Trideum Corporation is a 100% employee-owned company, committed to embracing the world's toughest challenges with a servant's heart. Through dedicated hard work and commitment, we provide distinctive quality and unparalleled customer service in all aspects of our business. We also know that our employees are the key to our success, and it is our mission to take care of them so they can take care of our customers and communities where we live, work, and play.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Software Evaluation Engineer to provide direct support to the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as part of an enterprise-wide digital modernization effort. This role owns the implementation side of the mission: standing up and operating the environment where candidate technologies are evaluated, defining the framework and gates that move a capability from sandbox to pilot to enterprise, running the actual technical evaluations, and onboarding successful pilots into sustained enterprise solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable standing up a cloud sandbox, integrating an unfamiliar application, and writing up what they found. Because this team provides direct support to the CTO, the work flexes with shifting Commander requirements, and turnaround on evaluations can be fast; comfort operating in ambiguity and re-prioritizing quickly is essential. The Software Evaluation Engineer works alongside the Lead Integrator, a Senior Enterprise Architect, and an Analytics Engineer to ensure new capabilities are rigorously vetted before they reach the operational network.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Stand up and operate a controlled, virtualized sandbox to safely evaluate technology concepts from industry, academia, and internal teams before they touch the operational network.
  • Define and run a repeatable technical evaluation framework assessing operational feasibility, cybersecurity risk, and architectural fit, with clear transition gates from sandbox to pilot to broader enterprise adoption or termination.
  • Execute hands-on evaluations: stand up candidate applications and capabilities, integrate them via APIs, exercise them against realistic synthetic or sanitized data, and document findings.
  • Define selection criteria and success measures for technology programs, in concert with the Analytics Engineer's metrics and the Enterprise Architect's roadmap.
  • Lead the technical onboarding and transition of successful technology programs into sustained enterprise environments.
  • Support the transition of technologies to the Chief Information Office when appropriate.
  • Define security and access models for testing environments, including procedures for handling synthetic or sanitized data during evaluations.
  • Produce technical evaluation reports and findings that feed decision products.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience standing up, integrating, and operating software and cloud environments - sandboxes, pilot programs, or enterprise integration efforts.
  • Hands-on depth in several of the following: cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP), containers, CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling, API integration, infrastructure-as-code, and identity/access management (IdAM).
  • Proven ability to conduct rigorous technical evaluations and to assess cybersecurity risk and architectural fit in emerging software and hardware solutions.
  • Experience defining and operating controlled test environments, including secure handling of synthetic or sanitized data.
  • Clear technical writing skills, with the ability to produce evaluation reports and findings for both technical and senior-leadership audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively amid ambiguous, fast-shifting priorities in a direct-support role.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret security clearance or up to a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting the Department of War (DoW) or an Army enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with the AMC mission space, including the Organic Industrial Base (OIB) and supply chain logistics.
  • Experience onboarding capabilities into an authorized (ATO'd) production enterprise, including RMF/ATO exposure.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (such as Army Vantage, Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or Snowflake).
  • Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Security+, CISSP).
  • Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
