- Provide end-to-end eDiscovery and litigation support, covering legal holds; identification, collection, preservation, processing, review, analysis, and production of ESI; and overall case lifecycle management.
- Support discovery across email, documents, databases, file shares, collaboration platforms, mobile devices, and other electronic sources, while assisting with preservation notices, collection tracking, and defensible disposition.
- Support federal attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal staff with litigation technology and document management requirements.
- Manage and administer litigation matters within a litigation software suite.
- Configure matters, workspaces, user roles, permissions, workflows, document fields, coding layouts, review queues, and dashboards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities, processing steps, productions, and chain of custody.
- Assist attorneys and legal teams in identifying relevant information through advanced searches, filters, Boolean queries, metadata analysis, and analytics.
- Support Technology Assisted Review (TAR), predictive coding, email threading, near-duplicate identification, concept searching, and other advanced review technologies when appropriate.
- Prepare documents and datasets for attorney review while ensuring appropriate metadata, confidentiality designations, and document relationships are preserved.
Federal Government Compliance:
- Perform litigation support activities in accordance with federal laws, regulations, agency policies, and contractual requirements.
- Apply federal information security and privacy requirements to litigation and discovery data.
- Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Sensitive But Unclassified information, and other protected government information in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Support compliance with security controls, agency security policies, records management requirements, and applicable federal information governance standards.
- Follow agency requirements for data retention, disposition, access control, auditing, and security monitoring.
- Maintain appropriate segregation of matters and ensure users have access only to information required for their assigned responsibilities.
- Support records preservation and disposition activities in coordination with agency records management personnel.
Case Management & Legal Team Support:
- Work directly with federal attorneys, paralegals, investigators, records managers, IT personnel, and program managers to identify litigation support requirements.
- Translate legal and discovery requirements into technical workflows and actionable tasks.
- Provide technical guidance to legal teams regarding eDiscovery capabilities, data sources, search strategies, review workflows, and production options.
- Coordinate discovery schedules, task assignments, review milestones, and production deadlines.
- Track case status, outstanding requests, processing activities, and production deliverables.
- Prepare status reports, metrics, dashboards, and management briefings.
- Provide user training and technical assistance for attorneys and other authorized personnel.
- Develop job aids, user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
Data Analysis & Quality Control:
- Perform quality control reviews of collected, processed, reviewed, and produced data.
- Validate document counts, metadata, file integrity, duplicates, exclusions, and production sets.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between source data, processed data, review populations, and production sets.
- Conduct searches and analysis to identify potentially responsive or privileged information.
- Monitor discovery workflows for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established requirements.
- Document quality assurance activities and corrective actions.
Security & Access Management:
- Apply least-privilege principles to litigation support environments.
- Manage authorized user access and coordinate account provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Support audit and logging requirements for litigation databases and review platforms.
- Protect litigation data from unauthorized disclosure, modification, or destruction.
- Report suspected security incidents, unauthorized access, or data handling concerns in accordance with federal incident response procedures.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams when litigation systems or data are impacted by security events.
