Intermediate Configuration Analyst

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Intermediate Configuration Analyst to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Missile Defense Agency's Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) Mission Engineering Team at Schriever Space Force Base (SFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This 100% on-site position is primarily responsible for supporting the MDIOC Chief Engineer for the maintenance and implementation of the MDIOC Technical Baseline as well as for development and integration of new capabilities into the building. Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, and works well with other team members and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:

• Execute the lifecycle of facility change requests, from initiation to completion, ensuring all Configuration Management (CM) requirements are met by leading stakeholders through the change management process.
• Execute baselining of configuration items into the MDIOC Requirements, Architecture, and Engineering Baselines as required.
• Execute the processing, review, categorization, and documentation of all CM activities prior to submission for government and contractor review boards.
• Capture information from site surveys configuration item component information to validate accurate baseline CI data.
• Embrace Mission Engineering CM culture, fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and growth within the configuration management discipline.
• Collaborate with Quality personnel to analyze and propose the resolution of any assigned findings, implementing corrective and preventive actions related to the MDIOC Technical Baseline.
• Drive and execute development/evaluation of CM processes, work instructions, and supporting documentation to ensure strict compliance with Industry and Government CM policies, plans, and procedures.
• Execute and adhere to a comprehensive training program for all CM processes, delivering training both internally and externally to the Mission Engineering organization.
• Continuously evaluate organizational processes for improvement initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the CM team.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the strategic goals of the organization.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3+ years' experience.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in configuration management and technical support to program management
• Ability to depict technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience driving organizational change management and challenging established norms to implement new technical initiatives.
• Proven experience in asset identification and management, including physical inventories and lifecycle analyses.
• Experience performing obsolescence assessments and developing modernization strategies for aging infrastructure in a Government, defense, or high-tempo operational environment.
• Experience preparing technical reports, tracking dashboards, and briefings for leadership or Government customers.
• Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and balancing competing operational priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to climb a ladder, work beneath elevated floor areas, and lift 40 pounds.

Security Clearance Level Required:

• Active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one is required for this position.
• U.S. Citizenship is also required for this position.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $90K/year to $125K/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
