Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Program Execution Manager, leading a team of 5-8 engineers developing CONOPS, designs, and technology insertion plans for current and future PNT systems
  • Drives execution of customer funded capability insertion efforts and works daily with GPS chief engineering, architects, and SMEs
  • Manages overall technology insertion cost, schedule, and technical performance based on capability insertion roadmaps
  • Partner with GPS SEIT, Bus, Payload, and ATLO teams to ensure technology insertion plans align with GPS IIIF production schedules
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of GPS space, ground, and user segments and technical roadmaps, with the ability to aid Product Owners in addressing specific technical challenges
  • Represent LM across DoW, DoT, and DoE related stakeholders and champions insertion of new technology and capability into the GPS enterprise
  • Lead major technology transition efforts through design, development, qualification and overall transition to the GPS IIIF production team
  • Lead development of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost and schedule estimates as well as lead Request for Proposal (RFP) and offer development efforts


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Interim Top Secret Clearance Required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
  • 10+ years of technical and leadership experience with demonstrated expertise in strategy development, systems engineering, and development of integrated hardware/software solutions.


Desired Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging RF, Optical, or Digital Processor systems
  • Experience leading multi-disciplined team through product development and qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical roadmaps, schedules, and tasking and effectively communicate to team
  • Strong background in Systems Engineering associated with complex systems comprised of RF, Optical, or Digital Processor based systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe principals


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
