We are seeking a skilled and innovative Journeyman Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering and demonstrate proficiency in system electrical design, debugging, and firmware development. This position is that of an Electrical Engineer in the SE Department of NAWCADLKE. The Branch performs cradle-to-grave design, development, acquisition, and sustainment lifecycle support of Common and Peculiar SE. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and reliability.
Duties
• Provides Technical expertise for all matters related to electrical engineering concerning the design, development, and analysis of aircraft equipment and components.
• Leads the technical efforts associated with new procurements, to include trade studies, requirements analysis, and technical planning.
• Provides technical assessments in support of sustainment efforts/in-service engineering including Requests for Engineering Information (REI), Engineering Investigations (EI), Requests for Variance (RFV), configuration control issues, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
• Conduct market research, electrical design and review, risk analysis, and providing technical recommendations.
• Coordinates with logisticians and contract specialists to provide necessary engineering input while ensuring program deadlines/requirements are being met.
• Coordinates with Foreign Military Sales case managers in the development of CSE/PSE requirements from each Foreign Military Partner.
• Evaluates progress in attaining program milestones and fulfilling planned contractual obligations.
• Determines support requirements, i.e., workloads, schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills, and training for both Domestic and Foreign Military Sales efforts. Ensures milestones are met, deficiencies are identified, and needed adjustments are made.
• Creates product documentation and records, including technical drawings and specifications.
• Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and to identify opportunities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in system electrical design and debugging techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Hold an active Secret or higher security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
