Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to provide post-award management and oversight of large-scale federal or commercial construction projects valued at $45 million or more. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of construction management, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
This position requires extensive experience managing complex construction programs, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall post-award construction management for projects exceeding $45 million in construction value.
Lead project execution from award through closeout while ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
Review and evaluate project schedules, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and review cost estimates, budget forecasts, and financial reports.
Manage contract modifications, change orders, and claims throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and coordinate submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and technical documentation.
Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with contract documents, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reporting, and construction records.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in one of the following:
Engineering
Architecture
Construction Management
Related technical field
Education may be waived if the candidate possesses one of the following:
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Registered Architect (RA) license
Minimum 15 years of Construction Management experience
Required Experience
Minimum 15 years of Construction Management experience supporting complex construction projects.
Demonstrated experience managing post-award projects valued at $45 million or greater.
Strong experience with:
Construction scheduling
Cost estimating
Change management
Contract administration
RFIs
Submittal review
Project documentation
Construction oversight
Risk management
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining project objectives.
